Kelly Rowland Applauds Jay-Z For Grammy Speech!

Kelly Rowland

Kelly Rowland is all praises for JAY-Z and the powerful message he delivered on stage during the Grammys on Sunday. The former Destiny's Child star was spotted walking the red carpet at the premiere of Bob Marley: One Love in Los Angeles on Tuesday, where she opened up about JAY-Z's comments on the Recording Academy's past snubs of Beyoncé.

Speaking to ET's Kevin Frazier, Kelly shared how proud she was of JAY-Z and how his words resonated with her. "Shawn Carter is one of the greatest men I know, and his words ring so loud "to me"! I couldn't be more proud of him," she said with a smile. "I think that he made a lot of artists feel very seen and heard in those minutes that he took on stage."

JAY-Z addressed The Recording Academy's big misses during his acceptance speech for the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award, as he called out the injustice of Beyoncé, the most decorated artist with 32 Grammy wins, never winning Album of the Year. Kelly reiterated that it made no sense to her how Beyoncé hadn't won Album of the Year, given that she is an icon who starts trends and is highly innovative.

"I think that her albums are a reflection of that, and it should be celebrated in that way," said Kelly. "I'm not saying that because it's my sister, I'm saying it because it's the truth. I've seen the blood, sweat, and tears that she puts into these projects, and her thoughts, heart, passion, and soul."

It's heartwarming to see such celebrity support and sister love!
